Seeing Art Everywhere

Sometimes I see art in the most interesting places. I was starting to think of new ideas for a video while at work. I found myself walking down the aisle of the warehouse. All the great shapes to see in everyday life. The pallets on the racks and how they form a nice connection of blocks can provide interesting ideas for architecture. I say architecture, for that is one of my favorite sections of art.

While I was standing next to one of the pallets of boxes {boxes - color}, I thought of something. At first I thought it was a nice pattern. Something I could use in my Photoshop program (Affinity Photo). Then shape reminded me of path along a man made cliff. It was something out of a movie. I could picture tiny people walking along the cliff side. So I created a Black & White out of that image {boxes - B&W}. I adjusted a few of the levels, and made it darker, but was able to the the cliff path better.

Looking at this image now in black & White, I realized what moving I was thinking about. It was the 1982 Tron movie. There was a part where the light cycles had just escaped the game. They went through an opening in the wall and found themselves riding a cliff.

This made me think of doing a Tron music video. With all music videos, it’s about the song. I couldn’t find one I liked that had to do with cliffs or motorcycle riding.

I did find one about sailing. Both of the Tron films (1982’s Tron & 2010’s Tron Legacy) has the sections of the movie featuring the Solar Sail Ship. I used the Copyright Free music of RYYZN - Sail Away. Thus I created the video “Tron Solar Sail Away”. I invite you to watch it. You can also see more of my video creations at my YouTube channel “Art Everywhere”.
